HOULETTE NEW ALBUM BLESS BLESS

Houlette gleans a mix of folk and early French-pop influences that feature rich female vocals interwoven with minimalist modern-pop arrangements and punctuated with bursts of dark intermissions. This cross styling of genres, filtering the old and new brings about a sense of nostalgia while maintaining a sonic freshness.

Houlette will be launching their debut album 'Bless Bless' with an East Coast tour of Australia, dates below. Bless Bless (translated to 'farewell' in Icelandic) will be available both as CD and later on limited edition LP.

OUR ANATOMY  - DENOUEMENT CDEP

Once a solo vehicle for the work of songwriter Andrew Read, Our Anatomy is a fully formed indie rock unit from Melbourne with some incendiary music under its belt already – combining accomplished playing, sonic atmospheres and tales that pack a punch to the heart. Following various line up changes early on, the band has settled into the solidified line up of Jason Tilley (Guitar), David Karis (bass) and Scott Viney (Drums) in addition to Read (Guitar, Vocals).

After a couple of DIY cd-r releases and numerous shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney over the past 2 years, this March will see their first focused statement in the shape of debut EP, Dénouement, released on Melbourne’s EXO Records. Epic in scope and theme, there is more to Dénouement with each repeated listen; the care taken in song craft, playing and production all become evident as the story rolls out.

It is with great pride and excitement that Our Anatomy finally presents Dénouement and will be celebrating with the following launch dates;

Sydney – Sat 20th Feb @ The Sandringham Hotel w/ Sailmaker, Bayonets For Legs, Kellie & Mel

Brisbane – Sat 27th Feb @ Fat Louie’s w/ The Gifthorse, Arrows, Willows

Melbourne – Sat 6th Mar @ The Old Bar w/ Gold Tango, Otouto, A Dead Forest Index

TEEN ARCHER - NEW 10" OUT NOW!!!

Teen Archer's first release --thrashy-garage-punk-rock - somewhere between the garage thrash of Detroit and classic 80s punk rock with a nod to The Stooges, The Saints and Powder Monkeys!!!  You can buy it from our website or stores around town!!

DEAF WISH - ALBUM

To make their 2nd album, the group holed up for a few heavy nights at the Tru Mould Factory in Clifton Hill last April.  The result was the new LP Reality & Visions.  This is where Deaf Wishfall deeper into a chaotic abyss, hacking their way through frustration, anxiety and mental damage. Reality & Visions is a psychedelic rite-of-passage, the soundtrack to waking up chemically un-hinged and no-longer young.

You can buy the record now on our website!!!

GOLD TANGO - S/T CDEP- OUT NOW

Gold Tango have just released their first ever CDEP...Melbourne based Stina, Cinta and Kody form a tight trio of organ, drums and guitar combined with twin harmonised vocals equally inspired by 70s and 80s goth, post-punk and electro-pop.

THE EMERGENCY - DREAMS MONEY CAN BUY CD - OUT NOW

The Emergency make the music of tomorrow you imagined in a hazy childhood daydream. By combining disco beats, shimmering synths and dubbed out vocal effects they weave a web of heavy cosmic pop that avoids sounding quotational or disposable. Out now is their new album Dreams That Money Can Buy  which includes contributions from Catcall, producer D.Block and Outrun bassist Mark O’Keeffe. The album was entirely recorded and produced by the band in their own studio using a blend of vintage and modern instruments and effects, and the freedom of recording and mixing at their own pace has allowed the songs to be refined and polished to perfection. The band use the full-length format to expand from their roots of 3-minute pop songs to longer workouts that take the listener on a sonic journey to the outer limits of the cosmos, as well as offering up some pure pop diamonds.
